I too spent ages getting there and was disappointed, and this was before I got any quests up there as well, a total waste of time.

As of right now, other than to farm/skill-cap and do quests, there is no reward for going out of town at all. A reason (and reward) for exploring far-off, hard to reach places would vastly improve the PvE side.

This would be a great addition to the game, and I would definately use my PvE characters more often.

I think this is a fantastic idea. Im not much of a PvP person so I just fart around with the henches expanding my map and this would give me a better reason to do it. Howabout hidden towns that you can actually battle the gods themselves and get some kind of cool reward?

something like this would make exploring much more interesting. there was nothing as good as just going around exploring in old mmorpgs, hoping to find new and interesting things. but in gw, there is none of that, and that is where the main part of pve is missing for me.

If so many people feel the same way, apparently my trip to the cave was not as wasted as I thought.
